IMMACULATA, Pa- The Immaculata women's basketball team placed five players in double figures and rolled to a 90-61 victory over Gwynedd Mercy in its Atlantic East Conference home opener on Saturday afternoon.
Sabrina Little led all scorers with a career-high 18 points, while Carly Coleman recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Coleman's performance marked the first triple-double for the Mighty Macs since Tessa Liberatoscioli accomplished the feat exactly two years ago on January 10, 2024, vs Marywood.
Olivia Ettorre contributed 15 points, Abby Grillo posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Meg Robbins added 10 points as Immaculata improved to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in AEC play. Gwynedd Mercy dropped to 4-9 overall and 1-1 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GYWNEDD MERCY
- Olivia Ettorre got Immaculata going early hitting three, three-pointers including two off assists from Carly Coleman raced to an early 15-5 lead.
- Sabrina Little hit a three-pointer of her own and got a steal and a driving layup as Immaculata led 30-15 after the first quarter of play.
- In the second quarter, Carly Coleman drove to the basket to score on a layup and drew the foul. She hit the and one shot to complete the three-point play.
- Coleman hit Sabrina Little with a pass, and Little drained the three-pointer to extend Immaculata's lead to 39-21 with 6:00 remaining in the quarter.
- Immaculata would lead 51-32 at halftime.
- In third quarter, Immaculata extended the lead to 61-37 with 5:56 remaining when Abby Grillo drove to the basket for a layup while drawing a foul.
- In the fourth quarter, Abby Grillo grabbed her 10th rebound with 9:22 remaining to complete her double-double, and Carly Coleman grabbed her 10th rebound rebound with 7:40 remaining to complete her triple double.
- Immaculata would go on to close out the win 90-61.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Sabrina Little led all scorers with 18 points, shooting 6-for-11 from the field, 3-for-6 from three-point range, with one block and one steal.
- Carly Coleman registered the triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. She added one steal and was a plus 34 for the game.
- Olivia Ettorre scored 15 points, with four rebounds, three assists, and added two steals. She was a plus 31 for the game.
- Abby Grillo registered a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. She was a plus 35 for the game.

- As a team Immaculata shot 50% from the field, 40% from beyond the arc, and 84.6% from the stripe. They scored 26 points off turnovers, 40 points in the paint, and had 16 second chance points.
