LISLE, IL - Playing at home for the first time since December 15, the Benedictine University women's basketball team made the most of the opportunity, handing NACC favorite Wisconsin Lutheran their first defeat of the season.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine led nearly the entire game, jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a basket from Alex Fanning followed by five straight from Allison Michalski
• Benedictine led 14-8 after one, holding an eight-point lead at one point
• Wisconsin Lutheran was able to tie the game at 16-16 with 5:22 to play in the second before a three-pointer from MaKayli Vann
• Benedictine led 23-21 at halftime
• The visitors scored the first four points of the second half to pull ahead for the first time at 25-23
• Down 27-25, Benedictine used a 10-0 run to move ahead 35-27
• Fanning opened the run with a layup, tying the game with 6:27 remaining in the third
• D'Asia Williams scored six points in the stretch while a layup from Fanning ended the run at the 4:21 mark

• Michalski stretched the lead to 14 early in the fourth, but Wisconsin Lutheran whittled the margin to just four points with 2:10 left but did not score again
• Benedictine has won three straight meetings at home with the perennial conference power and led for 35:27 of the contest
