(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Five Saints reached double-figures as the top-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team defeated Geneva College, 90-40, tonight (Wednesday, February 11, 2015) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game inside Metheny Fieldhouse in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

With the win, the Saints improve to 22-0 overall and 15-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Golden Tornadoes fall to 4-18 overall and 2-13 in the PAC.

Thomas More scored 17 points off 20 Golden Tornado turnovers  in the first half to build a 37-16 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Saints shot 64.7 percent (22-of-34) from the field, including 62.3 percent (five-of-eight) from behind the three-point arc to out-score Geneva 53.24 in the final half as they cruised to the 90-40 victory.

For the game, Thomas More shot 54.4 percent (37-of-68) from the field, including 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from behind the three-point arc.  The Saints outscored Geneva 40-10 in the paint, 34-5 off turnovers and 20-5 in second chance points.

Junior guard/forward Sydney Moss (St. Albans, W.Va./Boone County (Ky.)) led all scorers with 17 points.  Joining her in double-figure scoring was junior guard Olivia Huber (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) with 14 points, junior forward Alexa Santamaria (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) with 12 points and freshman forward Nikki Kiernan (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and senior guard Sydni Wainscott (Erlanger, Ky./Simon Kenton) with 11 points each.  Kiernan led the team on the boards with eight rebounds, while Moss led the team in assists with seven and Wainscott led the team in steals with four.

Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (February 14) when it hosts Washington & Jefferson College at 1 p.m. inside the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.  It will be Senior Day on Saturday and the Saints will honor Wainscott and guard Stephanie Krusling (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) prior to tip-off as they will be playing in their final Saturday regular-season game at the Connor Convocation Center.
