The Millikin women's basketball team continued its domination of the Tri-Conference Tournament downing Illinois College 58-40 on Dec. 9 in Jacksonville.

Millikin is now 11-2 in the tournament that features teams from the CCIW, Midwest, and St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences.

          Millikin shot 43 percent from the field while holding the Lady Blues to only

32.6 percent.  Illinois College was 0-11 from behind the three-point line.  Millikin won the battle on the board 33-27.  Both teams struggled taking care of the basketball with Millikin committing 29 turnovers and forcing the Lady Blues in 32 turnovers.

          Millikin got 13 points from Cecily Aldridge and 11 points from Heather Pruemer.  Julia Robert had a team high six rebounds.

          Haylee Althoff led Illinois College with 11 points and Alex Gabriel collected 10 rebounds.

          Millikin improves to 4-3 while Illinois College goes to 2-5.  The Big Blue will face Fontbonne University from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Illinois College.
