Owens Named CAC Player of the Week

More news about: Wesley

YORK, Pa. - Wesley senior forward Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) was named CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after posting double-doubles in both road wins this week.

It is the third time this season Owens has won the award, more than any other player in the conference.

Owens dropped in 14 points, grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds to become the school's career-rebounding record holder, and added two blocked shots and two steals in a six-point win at Stevenson. She then contributed 12 points, equaled the season-high 15 rebounds and added three blocks, an assist and a steal in Saturday's three-point win at Frostburg St.

Her efforts helped Wesley extend its win streak to four games and moved the team into fifth place in the conference standings.
