Westlake, Ohio – Sophomore stalwart Allison Anderson was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Sunday afternoon.
Anderson, a native of Springfield Illinois, helped the Yeowomen claim their first win against Wittenberg in 11 years as she finished with a game-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds and six steals.
In the historic win, Anderson went 9-of-15 (60%) from the floor and matched a season-best with five triple-hits on just seven attempts for a 71.4 percent success rate.
Beyond the numbers she also proved to be a Tigers run-stopper as twice in the second half she hit clutch threes to extend the lead back out to 10 and also made two critical free throws in the closing moments to help secure the 67-64 win.
Anderson, who earned POW honors for the second time in her career, will lead the Yeowomen into Wednesday's pivotal conference clash at Allegheny College. Tip-time is set for 6 p.m.
