CONWAY, Ark. (Jan. 21) -- Hendrix College out-rebounded conference rival Rhodes College, 53-33, and scored 19 second-chance points to snap a three-game skid. The Warriors had four players score double-digits in the 71-63 victory Friday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.

Senior Christina Byler led Hendrix (7-9, 4-4 SCAC) with 20 points and junior Katy Ashley-Pauley added 14 points. Junior Avery Roller was just two points off her career-high mark with 12 points, while first year Jamie Tate tallied 10 points and a team-best 12 boards for her third double-double of the season. Junior Anna Roane and Roller dished out five assists apiece.

Hendrix led the majority of the first half and owned a 36-30 advantage at halftime. The Warriors' bench outscored the Lynx 12-0 in the first 20 minutes. The second half featured 10 lead changes and four ties.

Rhodes (5-11, 2-6 SCAC) closed the gap and took a three point advantage with three straight shots from distance to start the half. Ashley-Pauley responded with a 3-pointer on the Warriors next possession to tie the game at 39-39 with 17:50 to go. The lead would change hands nine more times over the next eight minutes before Ashley-Pauley drained the go-ahead 3-pointer with 9:51 left in regulation.

Junior Sharwil Bell scored a game-high 23 points and led Rhodes with 11 rebounds. Sophomore Jaime Maxey added 15 points and first year Amy Handelman collected 12 points and four blocks.

Hendrix improves to 26-11 all-time against the Lynx and will now look to Sunday's home game against Birmingham-Southern College at 1 p.m. CT.
