GREENCASTLE, Ind. (Jan. 16) -- Sunday afternoon's game against Hendrix College and No. 10 DePauw University was a tale of two halves as the Tigers outscored the Warriors 46-29 in the second half to pull away for the 85-68 win at Neal Fieldhouse.

The two teams played to a 39-39 tie at the break after seven ties and six lead changes in the first half. Neither team led by more than seven points in the first 20 minutes.

Hendrix (6-9, 3-4 SCAC) led by a game-high seven points with 14:50 left in the first half on a 3-pointer from senior Christina Byler. DePauw (14-2, 7-0 SCAC) chipped away and eventually grabbed an advantage off a 3-point play the hard way by junior Katie Aldrich with 8:02 to go.

The Tigers stretched their lead to seven points on three occasions over the next 4.5 minutes, until the Warriors scored eight unanswered points on two free throws and a pair of 3-pointers to go ahead 32-31 with 2:17 left in the half. The lead would change hands twice more before the teams settled on a 39-39 tie at intermission.

Hendrix and DePauw fought through five lead changes and four ties in the opening 7:17 of the second half. Aldrich's jumper with 12:43 left on the clock ignited a 20-3 run over a seven minute span and the Tigers would lead by at least 14 points the rest of the way.

Aldrich led DePauw with a career-high 32 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. She scored 21 points in the second half and also grabbed eight rebounds. Senior Katie Matthews scored 18 points and sophomore Katie Walker added 10 points and four assists. The Tigers shot 50 percent as a team, including a scorching 61.5 percent in the second half. DePauw was also perfect from the free throw line in the second half (13-of-13).

Junior Katy Ashley-Pauley paced the Warriors with a career-best 16 points, while junior Anna Roane tallied 15 points and junior Samantha Devlin added 12 points. Roane was 4-of-6 from behind the arc and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Devlin was 6-of-7 from the free throw line and snagged a team-best three steals.

DePauw scored 25 points off Hendrix's 19 turnovers and the Tigers won the war in the paint, 36-22. Hendrix falls to 2-21 all-time against DePauw. The Tigers have won 21 straight SCAC games and 59 consecutive SCAC home games.

Hendrix returns to Grove Gymnasium to host SCAC rival Rhodes College on Friday, Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. CT and then Birmingham-Southern College on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m.
