(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - Four Saints scored in double-figures as the 14th-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play with an 86-53 win over Grove City College tonight (Wednesday, December 1, 2010) at the Connor Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the PAC.

Thomas More opened the game on a 21-8 run capped by a three-pointer by freshman guard Devin Beasley (Burlington, Ky./Conner) with 11:02 to play in the first half.  Grove City answered with a 16-8 run to cut the lead to 29-24 when Sarah Cesar made a jumper with 2:21 to play in the game.  The Saints responded with a 7-0 to lead 336-24 with 41-seconds to play in the first half when sophomore center Katie Kees (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) made two free-throws, but Grove City's Leah Gibson made a layup with 18-seconds to play in the half to cut the Saints' lead to 36-26 at halftime.

The second half was all Thomas More as the Saints outscored Grove City, 50-27, and led by as many as 36 points on two occasions in the half.

For the game, Thomas More outscored Grove City, 48-16, in the paint and 29-5 off turnovers.

Senior center Nicole Dickman (Park Hills, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) led the Saints in scoring with a game-high 21 points.  Joining her in double-figures was sophomore guards Allison Long (Hebron, Ky./Conner) and Chelsea Tolliver (Morning View, Ky./Simon Kenton) with 14 points each and Kees with 10 points.  Kees led the team on the boards with eight rebounds, while Tolliver led team in steals with three.

Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (December 4) when it travels to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to play PAC foe Chatham University at 2 p.m.
