LANCASTER, Pa – Alexa Barbush and Megan Pauley combined for 40 points in Franklin & Marshall's 90-43 win over Bryn Mawr in a Centennial Conference (CC) game Tuesday night at the Mayser Center.
The win stopped a two-game losing skid for the Diplomats (1-0 CC, 2-2 overall) while the Owls remained winless this season at 0-1 CC, 0-3 overall.
Pauley and Barbush pumped in 17, of F&M's first 19 points, to open the game. Barbush finished the first half with 17 points while Pauley added 14 to pace the Diplomats to a 46-20 lead at the break. Barbush ended the night with a game-high 21 points with Pauley adding 19.
Barbush swiped nine passes to set the school record for steals in a game. She passed Michele Fisher '88, Monica Stockman '87 Tina Brithaupt '92 and Sarah Mesisenberg '08, each recorded eight steals in one game.
Elizabeth Snyder scored all 13 of her points in the second half for the Diplomats as F&M tacked on 44 more points. Kristina McCarthy grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for the Diplomats and Collen Bott pulled down six. Allison Bauer had a game-high five assists for the Diplomats.
Lindsey Darvin scored a team-high 20 points for the Owls and Nicolette Parmese added 11.
F&M returns to the court November 30 at Ursinus with tip off at 7:30 p.m.
