William Sixsmith scored a career-high 26 points, including eight 3-pointers, to help lead the Baruch College Bearcats to an 81-65 home win against the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats led the entire contest, built up a 20-point halftime advantage, and finished with 13 total 3-pointers to even their season record at 5-5.
William Sixsmith scored 18 of his 26 points and six of his eight three-pointers in big first half.
The visiting Scarlet Raptors committed 17 turnovers that led to 26 points for the Bearcats.
Allen Villar (13 points, seven rebounds), Andre Harris (12 points, 12 rebounds), and Chimaechi Ekekeugbor (10 points, six rebounds) all contributed to the home win.
The Scarlet Raptors from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) featured a balanced scoring attack with four players in double-figures. They were led by Vincent Anfield, Jr. with a team-high 13 points.
The visitors shot better in the contest at 44 percent (23-for-52), but the Bearcats controlled the boards with a 46-29 advantage.
