North Central avenged an overtime road loss to Illinois Wesleyan and took a two-game lead for the second seed in the four-team CCIW playoffs with a 64-58 overtime win against the Titans on Monday night.

The Titans had dropped out of the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 before the loss.

Eastern Mennonite finally beat one of its ranked ODAC rivals, as the No. 14 Royals beat No. 7 Virginia Wesleyan 86-71. It's the only meeting between the two teams, as the 11-team ODAC plays an unbalanced schedule in men's basketball. The Marlins started the game 1-for-12 from the floor and never got back within single digits.

New Jersey City's roll continued with an 82-62 win against Montclair State. Curtis Davis hit two free throws with three seconds left after a Mississippi College technical foul to lift Texas-Dallas to a 56-54 home win. With the win, the Comets have clinched the American Southwest Conference East title with two games left.

In women's action, No. 21 William Paterson won at Ramapo 60-55. The teams face each other again on Wednesday. Ramapo, Rutgers-Newark and Montclair State are in a three-way tie for the final two playoff spots in the NJAC's North Division.
