Marcel Esonwune recorded a triple-double, scoring 32 points, grabbing 24 rebounds and blocking a career-high 12 shots to lead York (N.Y.) to a 79-78 overtime victory against Brooklyn. York will be the top seed in the CUNYAC tournament.
In other women's games, Juanita Whyms recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 25 rebounds and 11 blocks on the road as Hunter beat John Jay 57-44. No. 6 Marymount and No. 24 Mary Washington remained on a collision course for next week's CAC first-place showdown as each rolled past overmatched foes. Marymount celebrated senior night with a 70-39 win against Stevenson while Mary Washington beat Hood 71-41.
